The Michigan State USBC Women’s Bowling Association is proud to dedicate the 2013 tournament to Julie Oczepek of the Saginaw USBC.

Julie started bowling in 1982 as a youth bowler, but six years later she quit the game went she entered high school.  Four years later, Julie started back into bowling when she was required to take a Phys Ed class in college. Taking that class, made her realized how much she missed bowling and she began to really work on her game.

Julie has had the benefit of being coached by three great coaches: Dan Dorion from Saginaw Valley State University, Brian Waliczek, Kingpin Pro Shop and Sean Klug.

In addition, her father, Ron Oczepek, has also been a big part of her bowling career. He travels with her to the majority of her tournaments and leagues....she and her dad are a team; he is her second set of eyes.   Julie's friends and the rest of her family have also been very supportive with her career and also travel to support her whenever possible. Julie has been an Advisory Staff Member with Brunswick since 2011 and was added to the DV8 Advisory Staff in 2012.

Some of the Highlights of Julie's Career:
