Perseverance pays off. Rose has served the Michigan WBA for 28 years. As a Director, the first 15 years, she served on almost every committee, at one time or another, and is currently Chairman of the Financial and Hall of Fame Committees. In the meantime, she moved up from 5th Vice-President, in stepladder fashion to 2nd Vice-President.
Being a member of the Board, she had the opportunity to attend nine WIBC State Leaders Workshops. Attending the National Salute to Champions was a thrill, getting to meet the Elite in the Bowling Industry.
Rose is Secretary-Treasurer (the old fashioned term for Executive Director) of the Detroit Women's Bowling Association and has served in this capacity for many years.
For doing a job she enjoys, she was bestowed some honors along the way. Michigan WBA Secretary of the Year in 1990, Greater Detroit Bowling Hall of Fame, the Honorable Judge John Watts Award, the Greater Detroit Bowling Proprietors Woman of the Year and the John Gavie Award.
