- STATE TOURNAMENT HISTORY -

In 1927, the Michigan Women's Bowling Association began offering a championship tournament to its members. Throughout the years, many local associations have hosted the tournament. Only one year since the beginning of the tournament has there been a year without the women's state tournament. In 1992, Lansing Michigan hosted women from around the country in the Women's National Championship Tournament, so the Michigan State Championship Tournament was not held. Below is a listing of our state tournament locations and the number of team entries for that year. The bolding denotes the year with the highest number of entries.
